GIFT Campaign Report (1 January 2024 – 31 December 2024)

The GIFT (Giving in Faith and Thankfulness) campaign was launched in Advent 2016 to support the Archdiocese of Singapore’s vision of a more vibrant, evangelising and missionary Church. This report provides updates on its progress for the calendar year 2024.

Your generosity has raised $18.7 million for the GIFT programme in 2024, and enabled the vital work of deepening faith and empowering Catholics to evangelise.

Specifically, you have helped to fund the operations of key Catholic organisations, clergy welfare, parish sinking funds to supplement on-going maintenance, and last but not least, the building of the Catholic Hub.

The amount raised includes $3.8 million for the Papal Visit. On behalf of the Pope Francis Singapore 2024 organising committee, we would like to express our gratitude for the support of generous contributors and sponsors who made his apostolic visit to Singapore in September 2024 a meaningful and memorable one for all of us.

Overall, the Foundation witnessed a drop in total contributions of 11% over 2023.

We need the support of every Catholic. Giving regularly is the most sustainable means of supporting our Church. Regular monthly giving in the form of pledges fell from 4,065 the previous year to 4,007 in 2024.

Help us to fund the growing needs of our Church in Singapore to continue Her crucial work of formation and evangelisation.

On a personal and spiritual level, it is a sign of our commitment to our faith and a symbol of our love for our Church.

Catholic Foundation has been going to various parishes to thank parishioners and share our causes and initiatives under the GIFT programme.

A heartfelt thank you to the priests and parishioners at Church of Saint Ignatius, Church of the Holy Spirit and Church of the Holy Family for your hospitality and generosity, and your continued support.
